We warmly welcome you to The Art of Joy! We love giving our guests personal attention. Hospitality is our profession, and it is something we do with love. That is how we create a relaxed atmosphere, full of warmth, care and personal involvement. And of course, with plenty of service and little extras.

We often hear from our guests that The Art of Joy feels like “a second home”. In this way, we are proud to contribute to the warm hospitality of the Algarve.

Our guests have also shared their experiences on Zoover, where they rated The Art of Joy, B&B Algarve Portugal with an average score of 10. This earned The Art of Joy the Zoover Award ‘Best B&B Portugal 2019’!

The Art of Joy is a B&B Plus. We do not only want you to enjoy the Algarve, we also want to inspire you and help you fully unwind in our green oasis near Meia Praia beach in the Algarve. And of course, to let you experience the warm hospitality of the Algarve.

Besides enjoying your holiday and everything that comes with it, you can also sign up for guided walks, coaching or massages. These activities are completely optional. You only join in when you feel like it. After all, “nothing is required, everything is possible” is at the heart of the way of life at The Art of Joy.

We would love to share our core values with you, so you can get a feel for our mission and vision, alongside our natural sense of hospitality. We live and work as much as possible from these seven values: the seven V’s.

As coaches and trainers, we offer various consultations and coaching programmes. Together, we explore your coaching question and where you would ultimately like to go, so you can get the most out of both your personal and professional life. We would be happy to support you in that through our coaching.

The Art of Joy, the joyful art of living

Although our roots are in the north of the Netherlands, we have a cheerful southern temperament with a down-to-earth touch. As people who truly enjoy life, we would love to share our Art of Joy with you: our joyful art of living. We promise you, you will feel this lighter way of life as soon as you step into our green oasis.

We are also entrepreneurs, and we are living our dream. To get here, we have sometimes jumped in at the deep end and taken risks. Our life story is therefore quite special, and we hope it may inspire you too. Because to us, dreams are not only about imagining and longing. They are mainly about taking action and doing. Action purifies! So that you too can live the life you truly want to live.

Algarve hospitality: guests feel at home here

Together, we also have more than twenty-five years of experience as trainers and coaches, both in business and in the public sector. Anne also has many years of experience as a manager in the service industry.

Hospitality and service are close to our hearts. We genuinely care about the well-being of our guests. That is why guests feel at home with us.
