What is the minimum stay?
Rooms can be booked from a minimum of 7 nights.
What are the arrival and departure days?
Arrival and departure days are on Mondays and Thursdays. This helps us keep the peaceful atmosphere in our B&B.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome from the age of 16. This helps us preserve the calm and relaxed atmosphere in our B&B.
Is breakfast included?
You will receive breakfast in your kitchenette on the day after arrival. After that, we have a daily coffee moment at 9:30 with coffee, tea and homemade cake, along with our best tips for the day.
What are the booking conditions at The Art of Joy?
If you cancel more than 14 days before arrival, the deposit of 25% of the total booking amount will be charged.
If you cancel from 14 days before arrival up to and including the day of arrival, the full booking amount will be charged.
Do I need to rent a car?
It is not absolutely necessary, but if you would like to see more of the area, we do recommend it. Public transport can be slow and does not run very regularly. Without a car, it is also difficult to visit the beautiful west coast or the Monchique mountains.
A car also makes grocery shopping much easier. The nearest supermarket is 1 km away, and Lagos town is close by too. From our B&B, you can walk to Lagos in about 25 minutes.

. There are no waiting times, all-risk insurance is included, and if you unexpectedly need to cancel, there are no extra costs. Their service is excellent. We can also make the reservation for you.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately not. We have two dogs and two cats ourselves. Although they are very sweet, they may find it difficult to have an unfamiliar dog on their territory, and this can create unrest.
